The quintessential Southern nut butter, our Peanut Pecan Butter was the first Big Spoon recipe developed by our co-founder, Mark. It instantly transported him to the moment, as a Peace Corps volunteer in Zimbabwe, that he learned to make peanut butter by hand. Our recipe still hails from that initial moment in Mark's Durham kitchen in 2010.
Our Peanut Pecan Butter combines the rich, buttery sweetness of roasted pecans with peanuts slow-roasted to a deep amber. The hints of Jacobsen sea salt and raw wildflower honey round out a flavor that our original farmers market customers often called "addictive."
